Student Camp

What is Camp?

Camp includes a ton of fun – lake time, theme nights, games, color competitions, and more – and it also includes the opportunity to worship, to serve others, to build community in small groups, and to be discipled.

Camp is an opportunity to step out of the normal rhythms of life and be intentional about knowing each other and God deeper. This is a week to focus on the greatness of God, to run from apathy, and engage in an awe-inspired pursuit of Him. Be challenged to find your next step in following Him this year.

Registration will open soon!

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is camp?

We host camp at Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center.

Can I drop off my student late/pick them up early?

First Cape will provide transportation for all students to and from camp.

Drop Off  + Pick Up times coming soon.

If you need to drop them off late or pick them up early because of other obligations, please email gclydesdale@firstcape.org so that we can make necessary arrangements.

My student has food allergies, can you make accommodations?

Lake Placid has a professional chef who provides the best camp food possible. It is healthy and tasty. If your student has specific allergies, please let our office know ASAP so the chef can make necessary accommodations. If the camp is unable to accommodate, we will work with you on finding other possibilities.

What are the sleeping arrangements?

All students should bring a sleeping bag or twin sheets and pillow. Students will also need to bring a bath towel and a beach towel.

Dorms are air-conditioned. Dorm layouts are varied and students will be housed by gender and grade.

Can my student bring their cell phone?

NO phones or other electronic devices can be brought to camp. If you need to get a hold of your student during camp, please contact their small group leader (who you will meet at drop off). If there is an emergency, reach out to Pastor Greg Clydesdale.

We will be posting pictures throughout the week on Instagram (@firstnaples.students, @firstnaples, @firstcape.church). Search any of these accounts for pictures of your kids!

Is there a dress code?

Yes.

Specifics are included in the Parent Info Packet. As we get closer to camp the packet will available for download above or you can pick up a copy from the Church Office.

What should my student pack?

You can find a packing list included in the Parent Info Packet. As we get closer to camp the packet will be available for download above or you can pick up a copy from the Church Office.

What is included in the cost?

All transportation, meals, housing, and activities from lunch on Monday through breakfast on Friday are included. Students will receive a t-shirt, lanyard, notebook, water bottle, and drawstring bag for the week.

Additional snack cards can be purchased, but all necessary costs for camp are included in the registration price.

Do I need to purchase a Snack Card or can I send my student with cash?

The “Snack Shack” at camp does not accept cash. If your student is planning on getting snacks (candy, chips, soda, sports drinks, etc.) you will need to pre-purchase a snack card when registering your student.

Cards will be included with their name tag upon arrival at camp. Cards will have the student’s name written on them, but are non-refundable if lost or un-used at the end of camp. Each punch card is $10 and can be used for 10 items.

Please DO NOT send any cash with your student to camp.

How can I apply for financial aid to send my student to camp?

We want every student to be able to participate in camp!

Please email gclydesdale@firstcape.org and let us know you’d like to fill out the Financial Aid application. After the application is reviewed we will be in touch to let you know the amount awarded, depending on available scholarship funds.

Volunteer at Camp!

It takes over 100 leaders to make camp happen every year! Whether you have a student in ministry, are a recent graduate, or just want to see students discipled, we would love to partner with you! We need small group leaders, rec leaders, administrative help, nurses, boat drivers, and more.

Click the link below to fill out our leader application form and let us know a little about you and how you're interested in serving. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old (out of high school) and members of First Naples/First Cape.

Sponsor a Student

Camp week provides the environment and space for each student to meet the Lord where they are and process what their next steps of obedience are in response to who HE is.

We don’t want the cost of camp to be a roadblock for any student to be able to participate in a life-changing week. Would you be willing to sponsor sending students to camp?
